Meet Rhonda Sy'mone

"Music Soul"

Chicago Born Rhonda Sy’Mone’s professional music career spans recording, touring, studio work, live performance, television, theater, and classical vocal performance. Her music credits include performing as a Background Vocalist with John Legend on NBC’s Christmas at Graceland in 2023, where she performed “War Is Over.” She has also worked extensively with Gospel artist Darius Brooks & SDM as a Featured Lead Vocalist on “Holy, Holy” from I Had to Trust You, with experience in recording, touring, and live performance. Her additional recording credits include R & Kelly Avant on "Oceans", where she performed as a Background and Studio Vocalist for R&B recording sessions, and Shekinah Glory Ministries as a Background Vocalist and Live Performer.

Rhonda’s classical vocal experience includes performing as an Opera Chorus member with Opera Memphis in the 2024 production of La Bohème. Her musical journey began with the Oak Park & River Forest High School Choir, where she recorded “He’ll Be There” and received an NAACP Award for Best Singer. Her live performance experience also includes serving as a Headliner for the Chicago Pre-Auto Show and performing as a Lead Vocalist with the Ron Prince Band, along with Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Soul, and special-event performances.

In addition to her music career, Rhonda is an accomplished performer in film, television, and theater. Her screen credits include Blindsided, a film released on Tubi, in which she portrays a Female Prisoner, and Exposed, also released on Tubi, in which she portrays a Club Guest. Her television experience includes Chicago P.D., where she was credited as a Looky Loo. Her theater work includes Black Cabernet, a Broadway theater production, where she appeared as a Featured Performer and Vocalist.  he AUD Collective’s Black Nativity, where she appeared as an Actress and Ensemble Performer, including singing “Sweet Jesus”;  In 2024, she was part of the Principal Cast of The Stubborn Holiday with The Actor Renaissance, serving as a Vocal Performer and Musical Director. She has also appeared as a Featured Performer at the Atlanta Film Festival in “Daddy’s Little Girl.”

As a songwriter and music professional, Rhonda’s original music includes “Jehovah, I’ll Trust You” and “Can I Be Free.” She completed the David Porter Consortium Songwriting Program and has additional music-industry experience with Red Records in Sales, Marketing, Promotions, and Artist Recruitment. She has also worked as a Radio Co-Host and On-Air Personality with The Ty Melody Show and served as a Music & Worship Arts Director, providing vocal direction, worship arts leadership, and workshops.

Today, Rhonda Sy’Mone continues to expand her artistry as a Classical Soul Artist, bringing together her Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Soul, and Opera influences through recording, songwriting, live performance, theater, film, and television.
